Easy peasy yummy chocolate fondant
So these little chocolate fondants are really the bomb! I’ve never met anyone who didn’t like them. They are easy and quick to make so you can prepare them last minute when you have people over and serve them hot from the oven and super gooey. You can also pre-bake them and quickly reheat them in the oven right before serving. They are made with ingredients you always have at home (if you don’t have these, let me just say that you’re missing out 😉). They are also good once cooled, however we rarely manage to save some for that long! There is very little flour in them so you can easily replace flour with a gluten-free alternative such as almond meal you’d like. I must warn you though, they defy any nutrition rule, but who is to judge?
Makes 10 to 12 chocolate fondants:
- 1 ⅛ cups (200gr) dark chocolate chips
- 4 oz (one stick – 115gr) butter
- 3 eggs
- ½ cup (100gr) granulated sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp flour
- Paper baking cups
Preheat oven (390°F – 200°C). Melt the chocolate and butter together in the microwave (only a few seconds at a time so it doesn’t burn) or with a bain-marie (double saucepan), and mix well. Add the eggs one by one, stirring well every time. Add the sugar, pinch of salt, and vanilla extract, and stir again. Finally, add the flour. Pour the batter in 10-12 paper baking cups (about one big spoonful per paper cup). Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 15′. Enjoy hot or cold!
