I’ve been wanting to try watercolor for a while but never could find the time. Now that we moved to Cincinnati I finally have some more spare time and I decided to give it a try! After treating myself with a brand new set and having practice the technique for quite a bit, I decided it was time for me to start a useful project for a very special occasion. My cute little niece Loulou had her 2nd birthday at the very end of September, and I really wanted to send her a lil surprise before we get to celebrate together when I’ll be back in Belgium for the Holiday season. I wanted something playful and useful for she really loves learning new things, as well as something full of colors, with fun patterns and a touch of gold (alright, this criteria was more for me but oh well!). I painted a set of illustrated cards featuring numbers from 0 to 9 for her to start learning to count. Knowing her, I’m pretty sure she’ll know them all in no time!
